5 Non Alcoholic Drink Recipes Using Pineapple

At De La Calle, we love pineapple. It is the main ingredient in our tepache, and it has a flavor that is totally unmatched by any other fruit.

Pineapple transports us to warm sunny days full of laughter, friendship, and great-tasting cocktails. However, sometimes it is nice to have a pineapple drink that doesn’t come with the side effects of a shot of vodka.

Pineapple also has great health benefits. Tasty and healthy, it's a win-win! Pineapple is low in calories and chock full of vitamins and minerals. Vitamin C, manganese, fiber, B vitamins, B6, and folic acid are all found in pineapple. These vitamins are just an added bonus to the delicious flavors of these tropical fruits.

Pineapple itself is so delicious that we can appreciate it without adding in any alcohol. Plus, all parts of the pineapple can become a fruity delight. Looking at you, pineapple rinds.

These non-alcoholic drink recipes are great fun for everyone. So, grab your friends, a blender, and as many pineapples as you can get your hands on. Let’s get creative with these five booze-free drink recipes using pineapple.

Pineapple Strawberry Punch

A party is not a party without a punch! Who doesn't love a ladle and a crystal bowl?

This strawberry pineapple punch is a novel twist on the classic punch bowl. It combines the sweet, tangy flavors of strawberry and pineapple. Overall, this drink will have you ready for an entire bucket of punch.

This recipe is so quick and easy. Here is what you will need to turn this strawberry pineapple dream into a reality:

  • 2 packages of frozen strawberries, sliced and thawed
  • 1 can of chilled pineapple juice
  • 4 cups of chilled lemon-lime soda or club soda
  • Whole strawberries or sliced pineapple to garnish

Now it’s time to combine the ingredients.

Puree the strawberries in a food processor or powerful blender. Pour the resulting liquid into a large punch bowl.

Next, stir in the pineapple juice and lemon-lime soda. Add in a few ice cubes, garnish with a few fresh mint leaves, and voila! Enjoy this strawberry pineapple goodness.

Pina Colada Mocktail

This classic mocktail is sure to be a hit among whoever you serve it to. Coconut and pineapple are a match made in paradise. This drink will transport you to a white sandy island, even if you are just in your backyard.

That makes this drink perfect for any occasion, be it a special event or just a pick me up after a week of the same old stuff.

This drink is super easy to make, too! To create a pina colada worth writing home about, you will need:

  • 2 cups of pineapple juice
  • Coconut cream
  • Ice
  • Maraschino cherry and pineapple slice to garnish

In a blender, start with your pineapple juice. Next, add the coconut cream and cream of coconut to your own taste preference. Finally, add the ice.

Blend and serve fresh—it should be about the consistency of an ice cream milkshake. Use a toothpick to skewer a pineapple slice and cherry for an extra fancy treat!

Orange Pineapple Punch

Another punch? You bet. This pineapple punch is perfect for a citrus lover on a hot summer's day. Its vibrant yellow-orange color brings sunshine regardless of the weather!

To make this tasty treat, you need the following:

  • Pineapple juice
  • Orange juice
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Sprite (Ginger ale, ginger beer, or seltzer water will also work)
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Orange slices

First, stir together the fruit juices in a bowl, pitcher, or any other receptacle. Chill the pineapple orange juice mixture in the refrigerator until time to serve it. Next, pour in the sprite, ginger ale, or sparkling water.

For added fun, float blueberries, raspberries, and orange slices in the drink. Serve it cold, and you have sunshine in a glass!

Pineapple Bubble Lemonade

This lemonade may even make its way to a lemonade stand for a budding business. The zest of the lemon and the bright sweetness of the pineapple complement each other so well.

Don’t be surprised if this drink goes fast; it’s that good.

To make this recipe, you will need to acquire the following ingredients:

  • Simple syrup
  • Pineapple juice
  • Lemon juice
  • Sparkling water

The instructions for making this beverage, like all of our other drinks, are pretty straightforward.

Begin with the simple syrup. In a small pot, bring water and sugar to a boil and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved. Leave the syrup to the side to cool.

If needed, you can even cool the syrup over ice get to your lemonade goodness sooner. Next, add the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and the cooled simple syrup to the cup, bowl, or pitcher you are using.

Pour in some ice and finish the drink by filling the pitcher or otherwise up with sparkling water. There you have it. Serve this cold always, and enjoy this refreshing beverage!

Tepache

Tepache is a fermented pineapple drink. It is a perfect sip on a hot summer’s day, plus it carries probiotic properties.

Tepache is the drink you share with a neighbor on the stoop, the drink you keep in the fridge for guests. It is a drink of camaraderie.

Ready to dive in? Here are all of the ingredients and equipment you will need for this tepache:

  • Rinds/peels of 1 pineapple
  • Glass pitcher or large container of water
  • 1 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • Cloves
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Cheesecloth (optional)

After washing the peels of the pineapple thoroughly, put the peels in a glass jar or large pitcher filled with water.

Add in your sugar, cloves, and cinnamon sticks to the brew. Get creative and add in any spices that would pair well with the pineapple, and don’t be afraid to get a bit unique with it.

Mix all of the ingredients with a spoon. Then cover it loosely with a cheesecloth. Allow the tepache to sit for twenty-four hours.

Remove the foam that accumulated overnight, and strain out your tepache using either a sieve, cheesecloth, or a colander.

Taste and add sugar, agave syrup, honey, or spices to taste. Serve cold and with a smile!
