AR/AP Specialist

Our current brands include De La Calle, De La Calle Cocteles & VINA. This position will be responsible for supporting accounting across each of these separate entities, along with Here Studio.

This role reports to the Assistant Controller, Kristin Simon.

The main objectives (key performance indicators) for this position in 2023 are:

• Successfully bring accounting in-house in 2023 and transition all daily accounting tasks from the outsourced accounting group (excepting the payroll and deductions specialist work)
• Support the Accounting team’s goal to bring the month end close to 5 days across all 4 companies
• Consistently maintain Aged AR within 45 days

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Month End - Support the month-end close process for each company to review the balance sheet reconciliations and bring them in house, complete e-comm revenue reconciliations, review contract revenue recognition for GAAP compliance and complete ad hoc reporting/analysis
• Accounts Receivable - own the aged receivable review & collection process, complete weekly bank reconciliations, review customer deductions/trade spend, set up new customers and generate invoices
• Accounts Payable - set up new vendors, process invoices for payment, review Ramp/Credit card expense coding, and manage cash flow impact of weekly payables
• Intercompany Reconciliations - manage the month end invoice posting & AP-AR offset journal entries
• Compliance - oversee W9 collection and 1099 filing, support our tax accountants with the Sales & Use tax filing and Annual Income Tax Filing, assist with Insurance & Due Diligence audits, file monthly CRV & Gallonage reports

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• You have 3-4 years operational accounting experience within CPG
• You are a team player and can work effectively with Sales, Marketing & Operations departments
• You are a proactive communicator with problem solving & strong organizational skills
• You have an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• You are well versed in Quickbooks, Bill.com, Excel and bonus points if you know your way around SOS, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central and Ramp but you generally pick up new systems rapidly
• You are highly responsible. You admit mistakes quickly - we all make them - and your personal sense of ethics can be relied upon absolutely

SALARY RANGE: $72,000 - $90,000 plus benefits & 401k match
